The Safe Space Show
The Safe Space Show started as short-form video content posted on Facebook by Adeola. Over time, Xenobia joined as co-host, and the show developed into a more structured format. Conversations became more deliberate, sometimes filmed in public spaces such as restaurants, creating a setting that felt conversational rather than performative.
The platform expanded from Facebook to YouTube and TikTok, reaching significantly wider audiences and generating strong engagement. This growth led to a formal partnership with Rise Radio 96.3 FM, where the show aired weekly and was rebroadcast, extending its reach beyond digital platforms.
The show also expanded into television appearances, community engagements, and collaborations with public institutions. This included working with the Ministry of Health and the Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone (PPASL) to support the dissemination of cervical cancer awareness and adolescent health messaging in ways that were clear, relatable, and widely accessible.
The Safe Space Show functions as a public engagement platform, translating complex or technical issues into everyday language, creating consistency in messaging, and ensuring that information reaches people in formats they actually engage with.
