‍ ‍BIG MADAM

women are often left to navigate fragmented, unclear pathways when seeking health-related support.

Big Madam combines a digital platform with a physical support centre in Freetown, creating a structured entry point for women to access verified information, confidential guidance, and referrals across medical, psychosocial, and legal services. The model is designed to work across different levels of access recognising that while mobile usage is widespread, barriers such as cost, connectivity, and digital literacy still limit consistent access to care.

The system is being built to reduce confusion, shorten the distance between need and response, and ensure that women are not left to navigate complex situations without direction. It draws directly from Safe Space Sierra Leone’s experience working across community engagement, media, and service referral, translating that work into a more coordinated and scalable structure.

Big Madam is currently in its development phase, with resource mobilisation underway. Further technical and operational details are not publicly disclosed at this stage.

We are open to strategic partnerships, technical collaboration, and donor funding with organisations and individuals working across health, technology, and social systems.
